Pre-treatment Systems

Immersion Pre-treatment System

Immersion pre-treatment line in which the conveyor dips parts through each process tank for degreasing, rinsing, surface conditioning, pickling and phosphate conversion coating before painting.

Overview

Coating quality starts with pre-treatment. Before surface treatment or painting, fasteners and hardware must be degreased, cleaned and protected from rust so the coating achieves good adhesion and corrosion resistance.

In an immersion system, the conveyor lowers parts into each process tank in turn, so complex shapes and parts with internal cavities are fully wetted. A typical sequence is degreasing → rinse → surface conditioning → pickling → rinse → phosphating → rinse → dry-off → coating.

Features

  • Full immersion treats complex shapes completely
  • Continuous conveyor operation
  • Number of tanks and sequence engineered to your process
  • Connects to dry-off ovens and coating lines
